Treatment
Welcome to our Treatment Page
People develop Type 2 diabetes because their body becomes insulin resistant.
This means the insulin the body makes is not received properly by the body’s own cells and so their blood glucose keeps rising. Sometimes people are diagnosed with insulin resistance first or with pre-diabetes and some people can either reverse their diagnosis or put diabetes into remission with healthy lifestyle choices. For others, medication as well as a healthy lifestyle will be needed.
On this page you will find films and resources about the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes.
